Event Recap
On February 28 at 6 PM, the book The Intelligence Shift – AI Is for Everyone, authored by Satish Bora, was unveiled at Dr. Nitu Mandke IMA Hall, Swargate. The event was graced by India's renowned medical expert Dr. Kalyan Gangwal and serial entrepreneur and Chief AI Officer Dr. Akash Mavle as chief guests. The program witnessed the presence of students, doctors, business leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and dignitaries including Vishwas Mahajan.
In his keynote address, Satish Bora traced the evolution of technology from the early days of computing through Y2K, the Dot Com era, Cloud, SaaS, and now Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized that AI is not merely a technological upgrade but a profound shift in mindset. According to him, society faces a choice: to fear AI or to embrace it as a partner. The coming era, he stated, will belong to those who collaborate with AI across professions, whether doctors, IT professionals, entrepreneurs, or students. He highlighted that the book avoids technical code and complex jargon, presenting AI in a simple and accessible manner while offering practical ways for individuals to adopt it.
Dr. Akash Mavle connected modern AI with India's ancient intellectual heritage. Referring to Saint Panini's structured linguistic systems, he explained that algorithmic thinking existed over 2,000 years ago. He noted that Sanskrit, with its structured framework, holds strong relevance for AI systems. He also pointed out that future AI architectures could become more energy efficient. Stressing that a large segment of society remains unaware of AI's transformative impact, he remarked that books like The Intelligence Shift – AI Is for Everyone are essential and encouraged everyone to adopt its message and prepare for the shift. He further added that individuals with domain expertise today can build applications using AI tools.
Dr. Kalyan Gangwal brought a holistic perspective by referring to India's philosophical traditions, the teachings of the Tirthankars, and Aagam literature. He explained that ancient science integrated spirituality and discipline with knowledge. According to him, body balance depends not only on food but also on spirituality, lifestyle, and natural forces such as the Sun. He emphasized the importance of vegetarian principles and mindful living, highlighting how balanced thinking, discipline, and knowledge have always been central to Indian traditions.
The event successfully brought together ancient wisdom, modern technology, and forward-looking ideas, presenting a balanced vision for how society can adapt and thrive in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
